Located at the corner of King Street West and Spadina in Toronto, Ontario, this hotel redesign preserves the historic exterior character of the over 150-year-old structure.
Responding to the site’s busy intersection, the design enhances the pedestrian experience through an inviting exterior space.
The approach to the hotel redesign establishes a connection to the natural environment within the interior spaces. This is achieved through the incorporation of biophilic design elements, expressed through a curated palette of materials, colour, light, and sound, guided by the building’s historic character.
