RESIDENTIAL

The core design concept for the residence, connection, is metaphorically represented through mycorrhizal networks—underground fungal systems that facilitate the exchange of nutrients and communication across an ecosystem. Drawing from this natural system, the design emphasizes interconnectedness and continuous flow between spaces, encouraging meaningful relationships between the family and their environment.

The model uses naturally dyed cotton string which represents sustainability (green), culture (red), and user experience (yellow). Interweaving throughout the model, these elements reflect how each design driver is connected, informing spaces that support fluid, everyday interactions within the home.
